The Barberton High School Instrumental Music Department maintains a tradition of excellence in everything we do.  We pride ourselves in being exceptional representatives of our community, both on and off the performance stage.  In each performance we give, our goal is to leave the stage knowing that we did more than simply play the right notes at the right time, we made music!  Our band students participate regularly in OMEA adjudicated events, including Solo & Ensemble Festival and Large Group Contest, where our musicians consistently earn Superior and Excellent ratings.  Students are regularly accepted into area Honor Bands, including but not limited to ASBDA Honor Band, OBDC Honor Band, Kent State All-Star Band, Bowling Green Honor Band, OMEA All-State Band and All-State Orchestra.  There are approximately 125 students enrolled in the BHS Band Program.

Outside of band, our musicians are top-notch students.  Recent accomplishments have included multiple Valedictorians, National Merit Finalists, participation in DI Globals, Student Council Officers, Homecoming King and Queen, multiple lead roles in the annual school musical, and many more!
