Social Studies / Science

Hello and I welcome you and your student to 7th grade Science and Social Studies. My name is Mr. Hardwick and this is my 7th year of teaching, 5 of which have been here in my home district of Barberton. I am a 2001 BHS graduate, a 2011 U of Akron graduate and in 2017 I finished my masters of educational leadership. I truly enjoy what I do and enthusiastically care about each and everyone one of my students. My attempt as a teacher is to generate a learning environment that has each student wanting more and excited for what's next. You can be assured that your student will get my best while learning in a safe and fun atmosphere.

Here is a little more about me....

• I have been married to my wife Bethany for 7 years and we just had our first child, Maclane, in May and we couldn't be more blessed.
• I enjoy art and music of all kinds, movies, outdoor activities and sports.
• Along with teaching I am also the middle school athletic director.
• I played baseball in college, was the JV baseball coach for BHS for 5 years and am currently the varsity pitching coach.
