FCCLA

FCCLA is a CTSO (career and technical student organization) based on leadership skills and content covered in Family and Consumer Sciences courses. It stands for Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America. 

Every year in the springtime, students are able to participate in competitions based on a project they worked on throughout the school year. These STAR Events (Students Taking Action with Recognition) can be presented as a team or individual and have a wide variety of requirements depending on category, content area, and age group. 

Bangor is found in Region 5, therefore our regional competition takes place at Western Technical College in early February, followed by the State Leadership Conference at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells in April. Every year, the National Leadership Conference is held in a different location during the summer. This year, Nationals will be in Orlando, Florida in early July.
