Students who have Met or Mastered the 5th Grade STAAR are automatically enrolled in Pre-Algebra Prep 6. If you do not wish your child to participate in Pre-Algebra Prep 6, you may contact the Middle School Counselor to make a schedule change.
An accelerated sixth grade math option. This course includes all of the six grade state standards AND some of the seventh grade state standards.
Students successful in this course will be on track to take Algebra1 in eighth grade.
Please note, due to accelerated pacing that is necessary for this class, frequent homework should be expected.

Only available to students who successfully completed Pre-Algebra Prep 6. This accelerated course will cover the remaining seventh grade standards from Pre-Algebra Prep 6 and all of the eighth grade standards. Students successful in this course will be on track to take Algebra 1 in eighth grade. Students in the course will take the 8th grade STAAR test at the end of the 7th grade year.

Algebra 1

Only available to students who successfully completed Pre-Algebra 7. This high school course will cover all of the state required Algebra 1 standards. Students enrolled in this course will take the Algebra End of Course Test (EOC) at the end of the school year. Passing this test fulfills the high school EOC requirement for math.
Please note, due to this being a high school course, academic and behavioral expectations will be elevated.
