Head Start

Bandera ISD works in partnership with the Tri-County Head Start Program to provide comprehensive services to enrolled children and their families.  Head Start promotes the school readiness of children from low income families by enhancing their intellectual, social and emotional development. Four year olds who qualify for Head Start are Bandera ISD Pre-K eligible students who are being served under this federal program. 

Head Start is a federal program established in 1965 that promotes the school readiness of children ages birth to five from low-income families by enhancing their cognitive, social, and emotional development.
