Steven Banach, born south of Chicago area into a family of accountants, bookkeepers, steelworkers, educators, and a family-owned mechanic shop (Banach Auto Repair). Steven has been working towards his career in Accounting (emphasis on tax preparation, managerial accounting, business bookkeeping, and small business start-up/consultation). His passion lies in consulting with small businesses owners within the community using his skills in accounting, taxation, and marketing knowledge to help them grow to their full potential.
Steven earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana State University in 2005 on the dean’s list with an emphasis in Marketing & Finance while serving as an active membership of ISU investment club, Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity, and American Marketing association. In 2008, Steven furthered his education by earning his Accounting degree at Indiana University on honor roll. While studying at IU, Steven served as an active volunteer Income tax return reviewer by IRS sponsored VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistant) with his accounting professors.
When Steven is not advising his personal and business clients reach their full, financial potential, He is an avid traveler, hiker, cidermaker, and investor. Steven is also a huge advocator for animal rights, make-a-wish foundation, and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Stephanie Keller, CPA (née Banach), born in Munster, IN, Sister of Steven Banach. Stephanie is a licensed CPA (Issued Sep 2013 · No Expiration Date ) in both Indiana and Illinois. Stephanie has been working towards her career in accounting since 2010 and has recently celebrated her first decade in the field. Stephanie is an active member of Toastmaster International and IL Young Leader Advisory Committee of IL CPA Society.
Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Science from Indiana University with dual majors in Management and accounting graduating cum laude. In addition, she also minored in psychology. While attending IU, Stephanie was an active member of Alpha Gamma Delta and volunteered her time with the Big Brother/Big Sister program in Bloomington, IN.
While Stephanie is not helping her clients achieve their financial freedom, she enjoys spending as much time available with her son (Jacob) and two fur babies (Nala and Roscoe). In addition, Stephanie is aspiring to be a fitness instructor, avid traveler, enjoys healthy eating and visiting wineries & breweries with her friends and family. Stephanie is also a big advocate for human rights, animal welfare, and serves on the board of directors of Mental Health of America North West Indiana chapter
Denis Banach (Father of Steven and Stephanie) , raised in Chicago, IL youngest of four brothers. Denis started working when he was 10 at his father’s Auto body/mechanic shop as a gas pumper/windshield wiper where he learned strong work ethics and how to run a successful business at the school of hard knocks. After sitting with the CPA for awhile, Denis was pushed by his mother and made the decision to be the first in his family to go to college. Denis earned his bachelor of Science at Chicago State University in 1979 with an emphasis in Accountancy.
Upon graduation, Denis founded his first accounting firm (DSB income tax service) in the basement of his Chicago home. While now partially retired, Denis worked as a controller/consultant and accounting manager at many Chicago Manufacturing plants, packaging plants, and Northwest Indiana Harbour steel mills. While working, he had built an accounting firm on nights/weekends and put his kids through college to better their lives with the additional income. Denis also served as a past District Deputy, Grand knight, and Faithful navigator with Knights of Columbus. The sole mission of Knights of Columbus is to raise funds for Gibault school for boys and advocacy for human rights & decency.
While Denis is not helping his clients reach their financial dreams, he is a very avid investor and enjoys spending time with his family and grandson Jacob, watching DA Bears, Chicago White Sox, horse racing, upholding family traditions, cooking, visiting breweries, traveling, wine making, exercising, and gardening.
