Welcome to our Balsz EdTech Site! I will post any updates and news about technology in our district, as well as helpful tips and links to webinars or articles. To the left is a link to my calendar, so that you may schedule time with me as needed.

The "EdTech PD" tab at the top has tutorials on how to use different programs, as well as links to teacher-specific ideas on lesson integration.
The "Tips & Tricks" tab at the top will house all previous "Tech Tip of the Week" descriptions and links.

Resources and tutorials here are for Balsz teachers. Parents and students may visit the Parent & Student Tech Tutorials for help from the students' view.

Please create a system to label earbuds with students' names and store them safely. Class sets should be protected for testing throughout the year.

Please remember to have students clear Chrome browsing data, check for Chrome updates, and restart their laptops regularly!

TPACK Framework

TPACK.org
Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) is a framework that describes the relationships of types of knowledge required by teachers for effective technology integration in instruction. The TPACK Framework extends Shulman's idea of Pedagogical Content Knowledge.

SAMR Framework

SAMR Model Explained by Students
The SAMR Model is a technology integration framework that aligns with Bloom's Taxonomy, and helps educators in determining the best strategies for integrating technology in instruction. Note, the idea is not to always live at the top of the SAMR Model, but to know what is appropriate and relevant to enhance or transform the lesson and content.

ISTE Standards

ISTE is the International Society for Technology in Education, who “believe in the power of technology to transform teaching and learning, accelerate innovation, and solve tough problems in education” (iste.org, 2020).

They have worked to develop international standards for students, educators, coaches, and education leaders as a guide for effective technology integration that empowers learners and educators.
