Career Journey

Ethan Hokel, 2008 Ballard Grad, is currently a successful Real Estate Agent. He has always had the mind and desire for entrepreneurship and, like many, he followed a non-traditional pathway. He started out going to college right out of high school to play football at Drake. He then transferred to Iowa State University before deciding to cut his time there short to start up a business in Tennessee. He opened a nutrition store for a few years there before deciding to sell his stores and become a real estate agent. He took the necessary real estate classes and exams and started up his new business in realty through Century 21. He currently loves his job as a real estate agent as he gets to continue to foster his desire for entrepreneurship and help others find their dream homes.

Advice for Ballard Students

Ethan shares that Ballard prepared him for his journey and his current job through the constant support, love and guidance of his teachers and coaches. He said that they were constantly believing in him and pushing him to do his best.

He thinks that all Ballard students should let passion drive what they want to do. He says, if you wake up, do what you love and work hard every day you are going to be successful.
