Meet Mrs. Flaherty

Hello! My name is Mrs. Flaherty. I am your 9th & 10th grade school counselor here at Ballard High School. I graduated with both my BA in Communication Studies and MA in School Counseling from the University of Iowa. Go hawks!

As school counselor, I am here to help with students' academics, social/emotional, and college/career planning needs. I work with students on a one-on-one basis, group counseling sessions, or in the classroom occasionally. I am also a resource for parents and families as we navigate the high school world together.

I live in Huxley with my husband, Ben, and our puppy, Melly. I love to workout especially running (say hi if you see me on the streets around town), snuggling with my pup, kayaking, and watching college football! I am also the 9th grade volleyball & middle school girls track coach. I can't wait to get to know you and work with you through your journey at Ballard High School. Go Bombers!
