Year 12 Personalised University Planning Meetings (Aug 24 – Sept 10)

Dear Year 12 Parents and Guardians,

As our students enter their final year of high school, taking clear, informed steps toward their post-secondary pathways is our top priority. To support your child through this critical process, I am pleased to invite you and your Year 12 student to a Personalised University Planning Meeting.

These 1-on-1 sessions will run from Monday, August 24, to Friday, September 10.

During this 45-minute meeting, we will discuss:

• Your child's current application progress, timelines, and post-secondary goals.

• University selection, entry requirements, and safety/match/reach options.

• Standardised testing, application platform details, and key deadlines.

How to Book Your Meeting:

Please consult with your child and select a 45-minute time slot that works for both of you using our booking link HERE.

Important Guidelines for Student Class Time:

• Meetings scheduled during school hours will require your child to leave their class for approximately 45 minutes.

• Please note that teacher and classroom priorities come first. If a meeting conflicts with an important assessment, lab, or key lesson, subject teachers reserve the right to request that the student reschedule. In such cases, we will gladly help you find an alternative time.

Dear Students and Parents,

We are excited to open applications for three of the most prestigious undergraduate awards in North America: the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship at the University of Toronto, and the Jefferson and Walentas Scholarships at the University of Virginia.

Because our school is permitted to nominate only one student per scholarship each year, we have established an internal selection process to choose our official nominees.

1. Overview & Key Requirements

• Lester B. Pearson International Student Scholarship (University of Toronto)
  
  

  • Focus: Exceptional academic achievement, creativity, community leadership, and global impact.

  • Eligibility: Must be an international student (requiring a study permit in Canada) in their final year of high school.

• Jefferson Scholarship (University of Virginia)
  
  

  • Focus: Elite academic achievement, exceptional leadership, and demonstrated citizenship.

  • Eligibility: Open to all graduating seniors regardless of nationality.

• Walentas Scholarship (University of Virginia)
  
  

  • Focus: Identical criteria to the Jefferson Scholarship (Scholarship, Leadership, Citizenship).

  • Eligibility: Must be a first-generation college student (neither parent holds a 4-year bachelor's degree).

1. Reach out directly to Ms. Yohana Kurniasari (College Counselor) to collect the Internal Nomination Application Form.

2. Complete and return the application form along with your updated activity resume and short essays prior to the internal deadline.
