TEACHER PAM, Kindergarten
Pamela M. Ngayodan is an Educator who Joined Balay Sofia Inc. in July of 2017. She started as an Assistant Kindergarten Teacher, then became a Main Class Teacher for the Early Childhood and Class 2. She likes doing handwork and shares her knowledge in the higher grades. To enhance her knowledge, capacities and skills, she participated in different training and seminars such as the Asian Teacher Training in Acacia Waldorf School and 15-Day Intensive Beginner’s Course in Steiner/Waldorf Early Childhood Education under Bella Tan and Joaquin Tan in 2018 to 2019 and attended recent online seminars like Kassel Conference “From Developmental Tasks to Actual Lessons” to name a few. She believes in what Rudolf Steiner said that “Waldorf education is not a pedagogical system but an art - the art of awakening what is actually there within the human being."
TEACHER KATE, Grade 4
Ms. Kate Ngipol is a licensed professional teacher and a graduate of BSEd major in English. Her love in teaching encouraged her to be committed in volunteer work as a teacher aide in her school and its community, and as a Sunday school teacher during her undergrad. Her commitment also helped in honing and enriching her experiences in teaching.
She was also actively involved in leading and serving others throughout her college years as a fourth year representative in their program, Supreme Student Council Chairperson, and President of Easter College Education Students' Organization. This has strongly characterized her values in leadership, time management, collaboration and adaptability.
TEACHER ANGEL, Grade 7
Mr. Angelico Anguilar is a BA Communication graduate who has gained enriching work experiences in various fields. Before being an educator of Balay Sofia, he was a part-time faculty at Saint Louis University. He has worked as a graphics producer for the ABS-CBN News Channel, an ABS-CBN Digital Media Division content producer, and an ESL teacher. Furthermore, Teacher Angel has enriched his education through earned units in his post-graduate studies, specifically units in Master in Development Communication. He has earned his Certificate of Professional Course in Education from the College of the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Foundation.
Teacher Angels’ teaching opportunities have further urged him to serve as an inspiration in developing his young students’ confidence through instilling the necessary values and discipline that will aid them in becoming successful individuals.
TEACHER SHARM, Pedagogical Facilitator
Sharm is one of the pioneer teachers of Balay Sofia Inc. She is a supporter of sustainable, healthy, and eco-friendly living. Her ideals and passion for changing the education system are her driving inspiration to do her personal initiatives.
Sharm is also part of a national initiative for sustainable society called MISSION (Movement of Imaginals for Sustainable Society through Initiatives Organizing and Networking).
Sharm has attended workshops and trainings on Steiner-Waldorf Education under international mentors in Gamot Cogon Institute in Iloilo and Acacia Waldorf School in Laguna. She attended a variety of topics for trainings and workshops including lectures on Personal Mastery and Social Transformation, Human Brain and Human Purpose, Creative Writing, Conflict Resolution, Lazure Painting, Jin Shin Jyutsu, HANDLE (Holistic Approach to Neuro-Development and Learning Efficiency) and Creative Discipline from reputable speakers and facilitators from all over the country.
Sharm also loves to write. She is commissioned for her creative and academic writing skills. She has won prizes for her essays and poetry. She also loves philosophy and is an avid reader. In her free time, she crochets and knits, write poems, do crafts, paints, and plays
guitar and recorder.
Sharm is a licensed professional teacher and is a BA Social Sciences, Major in Social Anthropology, Minor in Philosophy graduate from the University of the Philippines Baguio. She also took MA Social and Development Studies units from the same university.

Ms. Edna, Finance and Legal Integrity (FLI) and Faculty and Staff Care (FSC)
Ms. Edna Velasco is a dynamic, responsible, and committed individual. She has a passion for learning - a graduate of BS Psychology and MA Ed in Psychology; continuing education program in Ph.D.; an earned international certificate (Global Tesol Canada), seminars, and pieces of training.
She actively served in the academic field for the past accumulated 30 years with the following positions both in the academic level and management spheres – School Administrator; Procurement (Clerk; Buyer/Canvasser); Consultant (Psychological Diagnostic Company); Faculty (Undergraduate and Graduate School Programs); Psychology Area head; ESL Academic Head; Program Director (TESOL); International OJT Program Coordinator; Part-time teacher/faculty in Senior High and Military Academy
She continually enriches her capabilities and experience with opportunities to serve as a resource speaker/facilitator and she unselfishly commits herself to service through various community involvements/activities both citywide and institutional-based.
