Last December, Bala Vikasa signed an MOU with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to provide access to safe water for communities residing in the three areas of Kavanur village, in Arakkonam, Vellore district of Tamil Nadu.

We would be constructing borewells, platforms with 1000-liter water tanks, and provide water supply from the tanks with taps, as part of the MOU signed by Bala Vikasa ED Shoury Reddy Singareddy and Mr R Sathish, Regional Director CII.

Last year, we had worked on a CII-funded project for the desiltation of ponds and lakes in Chennai, for restoring and renovating the water bodies for environmental and civic benefits. Now, the CII, which has expressed confidence in Bala Vikasa Safe Water solutions, wanted Bala Vikasa to address the water crisis in Kavanur in Tamil Nadu.
