Whether it’s helping to rebuild after the Chicago Fire, meeting the demand for suburban expansion, or fighting for Fair Housing — Baird & Warner has been a part of shaping Chicagoland for over 165 years.

A commitment to doing what’s best for the city and its people has been a part of who we are since 1855. Lucius D. Olmstead founded Baird & Warner and used his connections to funnel investment money into other businesses throughout the city. When the city was ravaged by the Chicago Fire, Lyman Baird lent the company’s surviving records to the city to help rebuild, and during the Great Depression, Warner G. Baird helped secure land for struggling members of the community to farm.
