For items you commonly use (like similar assignments or folders), you can create a resource to use as a template, so you don't have to keep re-creating the item each time you need it. There are 2 ways you can do this.
Method 1: Creating within Resources Tab

Click on Resources in the header bar at the top of any Schoology page.
2. When the Resources page opens up, click on Add Resources, then select whichever type of resource you want to add, and create the resource.

You can turn any class material into a resource to be reused later.
Click on the Settings Gear button.
Then click on Save to Resources.
Then select the collection and folder you want to save the resource in and click Save Copy.

Open the course.
Click on Add Materials.
Select Import from Resources and then pick the resource from the list it brings up.
Edit the imported resource to make it match the needs of the moment. This will not change the original resource in the Resources tab.
