Description:
Students will get a chance to work with our DECA officers to learn about our marketing and business organization at Badger called DECA. This will include some getting-to-know-you activities, a tour of our school store, and a quick lesson on pricing and promotion strategies. Student groups will then work with an apparel representative to design and create a new apparel item to be sold in our school store. Each team will prepare a presentation to share with a panel of judges to decide which item we should offer.
Day one: What is DECA, getting to know you games (get to know you beach ball), plus others, school store info/game/contest, cookies from the store
Day two: Guest speaker from Mid-City Sports to discuss apparel design and artwork, rest of the time to work on presentation, and design their apparel.
Day three: Finish presentations, present to managers and teachers, and design social media promotion for the winning item.
Take-home: Each student in the course will receive an apparel item from the school store that is the winning team-designed item. This will be sent to each student after the course and production on the item has occurred.

Get ready for an adventure in the Badger Library! In this class, you'll explore all the cool things the library has to offer. Go on an exciting scavenger hunt to uncover hidden gems, create your own custom keychain and sticker in the FabLab, recycle a book into a paper animal, and try out awesome library tools like drones and VR gaming. There's so much fun waiting for you - come discover it all!

Description:
Are you interested in learning more about what Badger has to offer in it's Technology Education department? Have you always been intrigued by 3D printing, engineering, or even graphic design? This is the class for you!
Day one:
Students will get the opportunity to use AutoDesk Inventor and MakerBot 3D printers to design and print their own personalized keychain that they will get to take home on day 2.
Day two: Screen preparation (emulsion, exposure, and rinsing)
Students will dive into the engineering world where they team up to build the strongest popsicle stick bridge. Truss design and calculations will be discussed and bridges will be tested by hanging weights.
Day three:
Students will be introduced to graphic design by learning the screen printing process. They will be supplied a t-shirt that they will get to screen print on and take home.
Take-home: T-Shirt that you design and print in class!

Description:
Students will dive into an exciting hands-on project where they'll learn how to use a CNC wood router and CNC metal mill to create their very own custom designs! They’ll get to work with real machines, from setting them up and choosing materials to troubleshooting and making sure everything runs smoothly. This project is all about precision, creativity, and safety, and by the end, students will walk away with a cool, one-of-a-kind product they made themselves!
Take-home: One-of-a-kind product(s) created by students using CNC machines!
