NEW LOCATION ALERT!
Back to Barbell was founded based on the conviction that there is a better way to do physical therapy than the current status quo. Athletes have find their way to us after having "failed" physical therapy or having "tried everything". We almost always succeed as a result of our unique process. Read more below.
Every injury has a story. We learn the ins and outs of that story and your goals so that we can begin with the end in mind and reverse engineer the solution. We use state-of-the-art equipment as part of a comprehensive testing battery to identify the root cause of your issue and determine the gap between where you are and what your goals demand you achieve.
Too many people fail to make progress because they focus on the wrong things. We keep our rehab priorities straight. Once we've identified the biggest factors your need to work on, we make sure that you address them.
Once we isolate the weak links we focus on workingAt the core of our identity we believe that rehabilitation is simply training in the presence of injury. We don't believe that "just stop" is an acceptable form of guidance and we don't consider rehabilitation to merely a simple list of exercises. Our philosophy is that it is a process best completed by blending "rehab" and training. Therefore, our number one priority is to keep our athletes training and competing while they manage their injury.
Our process-driven approach relies on serial testing, monitoring key metrics, and taking our clients' feedback to create a tailored, living, breathing program, not just a sheet of exercises.
Beyond the technology and clinical expertise we bring, the most important element of the identity of Back to Barbell is building relationships with our clients. Communication is absolutely central to this because it ensures sound planning, realistic expectations, problem-solving and the development of trust. To that end, we never book more than one patient per hour and we use proprietary software that allows for seamless communication between the client and clinician. Additionally, all of our clients receive a Back to Barbell Roadmap which provides a comprehensive phasic plan for integrating rehab and training and outlining the path of their recovery. We lay our cards on the table so that you can be an active participant in shaping your recovery and this is truly what sets us apart.
