Prizes

All winning entries will receive:

• An invitation to attend the May AGIC Executive Meeting on May 7th, 2026 in Phoenix, where student winners will be announced during the meeting

  • • Students may join virtually through Google Meets or attend in-person

    • A celebration party will be hosted by AGIC following the Council Meeting for students who attend in-person

• An invitation to submit their entry to the AGIC Symposium Maps & Apps Contest

  • • Entries into the Maps & Apps Contest will be judged by GIS Professionals in the fall of 2026 during the AGIC Education and Training Symposium

    • One winner will be selected from each class division, who will receive a $25 gift card

    • IMPORTANT: The student(s) adult sponsor will need to remain in contact with the student in the Fall of 2026 as they will be the person notified if the student's entry wins the competition and will need to be available to help distribute the gift card.

First Place Winners

In addition to the "Prizes for All Winners," First Place winners will receive:

• A $100 gift card per StoryMap entry

• Be invited to submit a short video (3-minutes max) of the student(s) explaining their entry 

  • • Videos will be played at the AGIC Education and Training Symposium and other Arizona-based education or geospatial conferences

    • Video submissions will require permission from the student’s parent or legal guardian
