How to Add Additional Tags to AWS Event Notifications

AWS has released new features that allow its customers to add all or specific tags to the AWS Event Notifications. Periodically, these notifications are sent to customers to take action on specific instances when they find issues on their platforms.

Step 1: Login to an AWS account that has administrator permission

Step 2: Go to the EC2 Dashboard

Step 3: Select 'Events' in the top left corner

Step 4: Select 'Actions' (on the top right) ---> Manage Event Notifications

Step 5: Click the 'Select Tags' option --> Choose to Include ALL or Specific Tags your agency would like to see added to the AWS email notifications

Step 6: Use the dropdown to add specific tags

Step 7: Choose the tags from the presented menu (multiple tags can be selected)

Step 8: Click 'Save'
