Cloud Smart Exception Process

Please refer to the resources below on the Cloud Smart Exception Process and the steps agencies must take to submit an exception request. 

Note: Submitting a Cloud Smart exception request does not guarantee automatic approval. Review is required from the following contacts, Agency BU Budget Director and BU CIO, State Chief Information Officer (CIO), State Chief Operations Officer (COO), and ASET Director of Cloud Operations. 



S1100 - Cloud Smart Exception Standard - This official document provides the complete steps for the Cloud First Exception process. Please read through this document prior to initiating an exception request.

Cloud Smart Exception Process Request - After reviewing the S1100 Cloud Smart Exception Standard document linked above, you will need to fill out the following Cloud Smart Exception Process Request (Google Form) so ASET can coordinate the Exception process with your agency.

Cloud Smart Policy Exception Form - After filling out the Cloud Smart Exception Process Request (Google Form) and receiving a response from the ASET Dir. of Cloud Operations outlining any necessary follow-up actions for applicable agencies, please fill out the official Cloud First Policy Exception Form (PDF) for review from ADOA ASET State CIO, State COO, and Dir of  Cloud Ops for approval.
