Pre-K students will be assessed via CIRCLE progress monitoring. This assessment will measure each students growth in Rapid Letter Naming to access how prepared students will be to move into Kindergarten. SGM is based on the 3rd party vendors SGM in Rapid Letter Naming.
Students in grade K-2 will be assessed for growth through Renaissance STAR progress measures. Kindergarteners will show at least a year's growth on the STAR Early Literacy Test, students in grades 1 and 2 will gain at least a year on the STAR math measure.
Student who take STAAR tests or End-of-Course test will be assessed with a BOY pretest. Each student will take a released grade level STAAR or EOC to set a baseline within the first two weeks of school. Their posttest will be the Spring administration of the STAAR or EOC. Student growth will be determined on a graduated percent increase model.
Students in 3rd & 4th grade Science will also be measured for annual growth. Pre-tests and Post-tests will created by the district and vetted to assure all state standards are covered on these assessments. Student growth will be measured on a gradual percent increase model.
Students in non-STAAR tested courses will also be measured for annual growth. Pre-tests and Post-tests will created by the district and vetted to assure all state standards are covered on these assessments. Student growth will be measured on a gradual percent increase model.
