In Room 6 we have been working on our persuasive writing. Persuasive writing is when we are trying to convince or persuade someone that our opinion is correct.
Have a chat to your child about this and ask them a few of these questions: What is an opinion? Can your opinion change? Why is it important we have opinions?
Structure your writing
1 - Introduction (stating if you agree or disagree with the statement)
2 - Reason number 1
3 - Reason number 2
4 - Reason number 3
5 - Conclusion
Choose choose one of the topics below and have a go at writing!
OR
if there is a topic that you have in mind, have a go at trying to change your Mum or Dads opinion!
When you have finished your draft, remember to re craft and edit your writing.
Check for spelling mistakes, and make sure your writing makes sense!
Then you can publish your writing on the publishing paper in your pack!
