Reading

In your child's learning pack, you will have plenty of follow up reading tasks on A4 pieces of paper.

1. With your child, choose a book to read (can be one from home, from youtube, from your learning pack, or find a story below).

2. Choose your follow up activity that you and your child would like to do. Make sure you read what the sheet askes you to do first before reading. Some of the learning tasks may be completed before you read, half way through your book, or at the end of your book.

3. Read the story with your child, and then complete the learning task required.

**The biggest focus for reading at this stage of the curriculum is comprehension and inferencing skills. Dont worry too much if you don't get the task complete. The discussions and questions you ask during reading are very valuable and are more important than finishing off.**
