Term 3 Programme

Visual Programming

My learning intention today is to give clear, precise instructions to the computer to design a maze or a game. Our main goal today was to learn about coding, and Hour Of Code helped us learn. First we had little games that we got to play to practice telling the computer what to do. I found the practice games easy. Once we had finished all five we then got creative and designed a maze. I did not complete my maze, and as you can see I was in the middle of making all of the cubes rainbow and party colours!

Then we tried a different game called code combat. We used java script on code combat. Java script is very precise and if you got any little thing wrong it would all be a FAILURE! Another thing you had to do while using Java script was to use the prethsy. The last thing we had to do was to MAKE sure we did while using the script was to end each and EVERY code with a semi colon. I had to get my character to fight ogres, turn around corners and go up and down using coding. The level I got stuck on was the one where you had to make a wall to keep ogres out of the village. This game was a lot more challenging than Hour Of Code!

Project Brief

My learning objective is to, design a project using visual programming or drag and drop. I have three choices to design a project using drag and drop programming that include Sphero RVR,
