Wheel Elective- Construction, Precision machining, & welding THIS COURSE OFFERS STUDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE WELDING (AG ENGINEERING), CONSTRUCTION, AND PRECISION MACHINING (AVEX) IN THE SAME YEAR. THE FIRST THREE QUARTERS, STUDENTS ROTATE THROUGH THE CLASSES. THEIR FINAL QUARTER THEY WILL PICK WHICH SHOP CLASS THEY LIKED THE BEST.  THIS OFFERS STUDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE ALL THREE CLASSES, BETTER INFORMING THEIR DECISION ON WHAT PATHWAY THEY WANT TO CONTINUE WITH.

Agricultural Mechanics (Welding) Pathway

Animal Science Animal Science- Introduces students to the field of agriculture with a focus on livestock, reproduction, husbandry, plant, and soil science . Students actively participate in FFA, gain real-world experience through hands-on supervised agricultural experience (SAE) projects, showcase their work at the SBC Fair, and explore the skills and career opportunities within the animal science industry.

Animal Science Pathway

Auto System Diagnostics, Service, and Repair- Students learn vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and engine repair, gaining hands-on experience with brakes, suspension, and electrical systems. Students enhance their leadership and technical skills by participating in SkillsUSA.

Auto Pathway 

CAMP Computer and Media Students develop digital media skills in photography, video production, audio editing, and more while using industry-standard software and equipment to create professional multimedia content. Students enhance their leadership and technical skills by participating in SkillsUSA.

Computer and Media (CAMP )Academy Pathway 

Commercial Baking Students develop skills in baking techniques, pastry preparation, and safe kitchen practices while emphasizing creativity, time management, and presentation. They also earn a Food Handler’s Certificate, have opportunities for pre-apprenticeship with Cook & Pastry Apprenticeship Program at RCC, and enhance their leadership and technical skills by participating in SkillsUSA.

Commercial Baking Pathway Pathway

Computer Science-Students develop programming, problem-solving, and computational thinking skills through hands-on projects covering topics such as cybersecurity and web development. Students enhance their leadership and technical skills by participating in SkillsUSA.

Computer Science Pathway

Construction- Through hands-on projects, students learn carpentry, safety, and blueprint reading while developing teamwork and problem-solving skills. They compete in the CIE Design Build competition, have opportunities for pre-apprenticeship with the Western States Regional Council of Carpenters (WSRCC), and enhance their leadership and technical skills by participating in SkillsUSA.

Construction Technology Pathway

Culinary Restaurant management Students learn cooking fundamentals, kitchen safety, and food preparation while practicing essential skills such as knife techniques, meal planning, and teamwork. They also earn a Food Handler’s Certificate, have opportunities for pre-apprenticeship with Cook & Pastry Apprenticeship Program at RCC, and enhance their leadership and technical skills by participating in SkillsUSA.

Graphic Design- Students explore design principles and master digital tools like Adobe Illustrator. They create projects for both print and web, building creativity, problem-solving, and professional skills. Students enhance their leadership and technical skills by participating in SkillsUSA.

MAHST Medical and Health Science Technology Students study medical terminology, anatomy, and patient care while preparing for careers in the medical field such as Medical Assistant (MA) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Students enhance their leadership and technical skills by participating in SkillsUSA.

Medical And Health Science Technology (MAHST) Academy Pathway

Precision Machining- Students gain hands-on experience in design, manufacturing, and CNC operation. This is the only machining pathway offered at either the high school or college level across the entire High Desert, making it a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students. Students enhance their leadership and technical skills by participating in SkillsUSA.

Print Production- Students learn to design and produce printed materials using Adobe Illustrator and professional printing equipment. They gain hands-on experience in layout, printing techniques, and finishing. Students enhance their leadership and technical skills by participating in SkillsUSA.

Spanish For Professionals - The Spanish for Professionals Pathway helps students become bilingual in Spanish and English while exploring career opportunities. Open to all, the program combines language learning with real-world experiences such as internships, field trips, and cultural activities. With supportive teachers and the chance to earn an interpretation certificate at no cost, students build valuable skills, earn college credit, and prepare for a bright future.

Spanish for Professionals Pathway

*CTE Adjacent- Spanish For Professionals is a 2 year pathway, resulting in a certification in becoming a Medical Spanish Interpreter, and taken in conjunction with our MAHST (Medical) Pathway.

Sports Medicine- Students study athletic training, injury prevention, treatment, first aid, and rehabilitation while gaining real-world experience by supporting school athletic events. Students enhance their leadership and technical skills by participating in SkillsUSA.
