SkillsUSA is a United States career and technical student organization serving more than 395,000 high schools, colleges, middle schools students, and professional members enrolled in training programs in trade, technical, and skilled service occupations, including health occupations. Each year CAMPers have competed in SkillsUSA., and have had opportunities to go compete in state and even in Nationals which takes place in Atlanta, Georgia.
We had eleven gold medal winners in state across the CTE department.
Maddie, Aubrey, and Abby took first place in the career pathway showcase and Ceili Maddyx and Mya placed third also in CPS.
Dominick placed second in nationals in Georgia, he competed in woodworking.
Directing Change
Directing change Directing Change is part of statewide efforts to prevent suicide, reduce stigma and discrimination related to mental illness, and to promote the mental health and wellness of students. Students create videos in different topics to help spread light on these dark topics.
