About CAMP

What is CAMP?

CAMP or Computer and Media Pathways is a CTE program that allows students to show off various skills dealing with cinematography. CAMP teaches student how to work in groups, under pressure, and creates a family bond between the students and faculty. CAMP also teaches students how to prepare for a career outside of school by making resumes, participating in SkillsUSA, and providing them first hand experiences in editing, film, writing, photography, coding, and other technological skills. There are currently 403 CPA's in California, only 22 of them are in our industry sector, Informational Technology. The CAMP academy was awarded the title: A Distinguished Academy in 2017.

Our Mission

CAMP envisions students of various abilities and backgrounds, using technology to improve their individual academic achievements. As well as to enhance their career opportunities and options. CAMP graduates will demonstrate industry-ready skills, attitudes, and behaviors that will enable them to enter the informational technology profession directly or to continue their post-secondary education. As an Academy, CAMP schedules its students into classes taught by a core group of teachers. These teachers encourage students to use technology in their classes for note-taking, research, and other activities.
