Apple Valley, CA - The dynamic duo of Brady Fonville and Brody Earnest advanced to the CIF Individual Championship & Qualifying Tournament. Fonville finished tied for first place with Foothill's Will Tanaka at 6 under par (66), but lost in a card-off. Earnest finished 2 strokes back at 68.

Fonville Wins Second MRL Title
Apple Valley, CA - Brady Fonville played almost flawlessly for two consecutive rounds to win his second MRL Individual Championship. Fonville shot 68-66 to post a two-day total of 134. In total, Fonville carded nine birdies and one bogey. His 5 under par is the second-best 18-hole score in school history. Brody Earnest was runner-up, posting a two-day total of 138. Earnest birdied 7 holes on day two of the event. Earnest earned his second straight All-MRL honors along with Carson Hamilton, who earned his first All-MRL award. Hamilton finished with 158. Junior, Maddy Irvin came in ninth place at 166 and Sherman Cline took tenth place with 168. Kaden Akins earned thirteenth place with 171.

Hesperia, CA - The Sun Devils wrapped up MRL play with a victory over Sultana High School 192-270. Brody Earnest and Carson Hamilton led the team with 37. Brady Fonville shot 38 and Sherman Cline 39. Maddy Irvin and Trisha Patel rounded out the scoring with 41 and 44.

Earnest and Apple Aces Final Home Match
Apple Valley, CA - The Sun Devils defeated Burroughs High School 184-223 to complete their final league home match. Brody Earnest hit a hole-in-one on the par 3, second hole. It was his first hole-in-one in competition. Earnest and Brady Fonville each shot 34. Carson Hamilton continued his steady play finishing with 37 and Kaden Akins 39. Apple Valley, CA - The Sun Devils dropped their first league match of the year, losing to Hesperia 192-184. The win clinched the MRL title for the Scorpions. Apple Valley was led by Brady Fonville (34). Brody Earnest finished at even par 35 and Carson Hamilton posted 38. Maddy Irvin shot 42 and Sherman Cline 43.
Apple Extends Win Streak to Ten
Apple Valley, CA - The Sun Devils won their tenth consecutive match defeating Serrano 193-229 at Apple Valley Golf Course. The team was led by Brady Fonville, who shot a one under par 34. Brody Earnest finished with 36, and Carson Hamilton and Sherman Cline at 40. Kaden Akins and Maddy Irvin both finished with 43. The Sun Devils host Hesperia on Thursday for the MRL title.

Apple Valley, CA - The Apple Valley Golf Club made school history with their 181-256 victory over Oak Hills. The 181-team total eclipsed a 26-year-old record set in 1998. The Devils were led by Brody Earnest, who continued his solid play with a school record 4 under par 31. Earnest’s score is the lowest in school history, besting a 36-year-old record. Sherman Cline and Carson Hamilton shot their lowest rounds of the season with 35. Brady Fonville posted 38 and Maddy Irvin and Kaden Akins finished with 42. Congratulations to all!

Sun Devils Take Second, Earnest Wins Medalist
Riverside, CA - Apple Valley High School took second place out of eighteen teams at the Homer Thomas Classic, played at Victoria Club. Their team total of 396 was two strokes behind the winning score. The Devils were led by tournament medalist, Brody Earnest, who won the individual championship in a one-hole playoff. Earnest finished one-under par 71. Carson Hamilton shot a personal best 75 and Brady Fonville shot 76. Maddy Irvin finished with 86, Sherman Cline 88, and Kaden Akins 89. Congratulations!
Apple Survives Hurricane in Burroughs
Ridgecrest, CA - The Sun Devils survived gale force wins to extend their win streak to seven. The Devils posted a team score of 219 to Burroughs's 242. Brady Fonville led the scoring and earned medalist honors posting a 36. Brody Earnest shot 42 and Kaden Akins shot 43. Carson Hamilton posted a 46 and Sherman Cline and Maddy Irvin finished with 52 and 53. The Devils travel to Victoria Club on Monday, April 8 to participate in the Homer Thomas Invitational.

Victorville, CA - The Sun Devils golf club defeated Hesperia High School 194-200 at Bear Valley Country Club. The win elevated the Sun Devils to first place in the MRL and extended their winning streak to 6 consecutive wins. The Devils were led by medalist, Brody Earnest, who shot a 3 under par 33. Brady Fonvile shot even par 36 and Maddy Irvin 41. Sherman Cline and Carson Hamilton finished with 42 and freshman, Emily Martinez, playing in her first varsity match shot 44.

Llano, CA - The Sun Devils golf club defeated Serrano High School 204-270 in blustery conditions. This was the Sun Devils' fifth consecutive win. Brady Fonville was the medalist, carding a 37. Carson Hamilton was next at 40, followed by Brody Earnest and Sherman Cline at 41. Trisha Patel completed the scoring posting a 45.

Sun Devils Win in Record Fashion
Victorville, CA- The Sun Devils golf team defeated Oak Hills High School 187-314. The Sun Devil's score was their season low and tied the school record for the lowest round set in 1998. Brady Fonville, Brody Earnest, and Carson Hamilton each shot even par 36. Sherman Cline fired a one-over par, 37, and Maddy Irvin 42.
Apple Completes Low Desert Sweep
La Quinta, CA-Apple Valley High School completed its preseason schedule with a victory over La Quinta High School. The win was meaningful for the Sun Devils as they completed a sweep of Xavier Prep and La Quinta High School, two of the best schools in the low desert. Brady Fonville and Brody Earnest each shot 38 to lead the Devils. Carson Hamilton had another strong showing, finishing with 39. Maddy Irvin shot 42 while Kaden Akins and Sherman Cline each finished with 44. The Sun Devils begin league play next Tuesday at Bear Valley Country Club vs Oak Hills.

Palm Desert, CA - The Sun Devils defeated Xavier at the beautiful Classic Club. Brody Earnest was the medalist, posting a 37. Brady Fonvillle and Carson Hamilton each shot 40. Maddy Irvin finished at 42 and Sherman Cline at 43. The Sun Devils return to the low desert next Thursday to take on La Quinta High School at SilverRock Resort.

Devils Cruise Past Yucaipa
Apple Valley, CA - The Sun Devils battled tough weather conditions and a strong Yucaipa golf team to pick up their second consecutive home win. The Devils shot a season-low team score of 193, while Yucaipa finished with 215. Once again it was Brady Fonville and Brody Earnest leading all players with 36 and 37. Kaden Akins had a strong performance, chipping in on the ninth hole to finish at 39. Maddy Irvin shot 40 and Carson Hamilton finished at 41. The Sun Devils head to Palm Desert on Friday to take on Xavier at Classic Club.

Canyon Lake, CA - The Apple Valley High School golf team finished second at the Xiong/Hambrigt Golf Invitational. Brody Earnest led the scoring, firing a 73. Brady Fonville finished at 74 and Carson Hamilton added a career-best 79. Maddy Irvin and Kaden Akins rounded out the scoring, both posting 84.

Victorville, CA - Congratulations to Trisha Patel, Emily Martinez, and Kameron Patterson for their strong performance at the High Desert Classic. Trisha Patel led the scoring with 89. Emily Martinez shot 92 and Kameron Patterson 98.
Carlson Leads ACE Past Apple Valley
Helendale, CA - Nate Carlson of ACE fired an amazing 11 under par 61 to lead the Eagles past Apple Valley High School. Jacob Hutchinson shot a one under par 71 and Bryce Johnson added a one over par 73. The Sun Devils were led by Brody Earnest (73) and Brady Fonville (74). The Devils are back in action on Monday, March 11, 2024, at the Temescal Canyon Invitational.
Sun Devils Grind Out First Victory
Apple Valley, CA - The Apple Valley Boy's golf team earned their first victory of the 2024 season. The Sun Devils defeated MLK 195-198 at Apple Valley Golf Course.
The Devils relied on home course advantage and a team effort to defeat the Big 8 Conference champions. Junior captain and match medalist Brady Fonville shot a 35. Sophomore Brody Earnest was second at 37.
The one-two punch of Fonville-Earnest was backed by a strong performance from their teammates. Kaden Akins fired a 40, his lowest round of the season. Senior co-captain Sherman Cline shot 41, while Carson Hamilton and Maddy Irvin each shot 42.

Sun Devils Ranked Number One in 2024
The Apple Valley High School Boys golf team enters the 2024 season ranked number one in CIF Southern Section, Division 2. The Sun Devils have a team handicap of 3.2. Team handicaps are based on previous finishes in CIF-SS team championships over the past 2 years of competition. The Devils have finished second and sixth in the past two CIF-SS team championships.

Apple Valley, CA – Brady Fonville won the 2023 Apple Valley Golf Course Club Championship. Fonville shot 68-68 for a two-day total of 136, (-6) under at the par 71 course. Congratulations Brady!

Irvin Advances to the Second Round of CIF
Victorville, CA - Maddison Irvin advanced to the second round of CIF-SS after posting a score of 76 at Bear Valley Country Club. Irvin finished 4 strokes behind medalist Amy Seo from Crescents Valley High School. Over 90 girls competed in the competition with 12 moving on to the next round to be played at Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon.

Sun Devils Finish Sixth at CIF
Camarillo, CA - Apple Valley High School finished its season with a respectable sixth-place finish at the Division 3 CIF-SS team championship. The Sun Devils shot a team score of 385, finishing 10 strokes behind Agoura High School. Brady Fonville led the scoring for the Sun Devils with a 74 at the difficult Sterling Hills Golf Club. Seniors, Dylan Kemple and Cory Rose each shot 76. Freshman Brody Earnest fired a 77 and Madison Irvin rounded out the scoring with an 82.
