Admission Requirements:
Must be 18 years old and older
Attend in-person Orientation
Must take CASAS Assessment - Score 230 or above
Apply to Victor Valley College (VVC). A VVC application is required to receive the 3 college credits earned through this class.
Maintain good attendance (4 unexcused absences will result in being dropped from program)
VESL SUPPORT AVAILABLE - MEDICAL ASSISTANT
VOCATIONAL ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE
VESL Schedule: Tuesday & Thursday, 3:00–4:00 PM
To support student success in the Medical Assistant Program, an additional VESL course is available for qualifying high-level ESL students.
This specialized course provides English-language support related to the medical field, classroom instruction, workplace communication, and medical terminology, helping students strengthen the language skills needed to succeed in the Medical Assistant program and prepare for the workplace.
To qualify for VESL support, students must:
Be a high-level ESL student
Earn a CASAS Reading score of 230 or higher
Be enrolled in the Medical Assistant Program
