Apple Valley, CA - Apple Valley High School's Brady Fonville made history by becoming the first three-time MRL Champion, winning the 2025 title at the Apple Valley Golf Course. Fonville posted a two-day total of 72, 74 (146) . This victory adds to his previous titles, the first of which he won in 2022, his freshman season. His second title came in 2024. Brody Eranest finished in second place (151), Carson Hamilton fourth place (156), Kaden Akins fifth place (157), and Trisha Patel placed seventh (169). Their collective performance has earned them All-MRL honors, showcasing the strength of Apple Valley High School's golf team.

Apple Valley, CA - The Apple Valley Golf Club wrapped up its MRL season with an impressive perfect record of 10-0, following their victory over Sultana on Senior Day. The Devils posted a score of 187 to 234. Carson Hamilton and Kaden Akins led the Sun Devils in scoring, each shooting a 36. Other notable performances included Brady Fonville and Brody Earnest, who both shot 37, Madison Irvin with a 41, Trisha Patel with a 43, Kameron Patterson shooting a 39, and Emily Martinez scoring a 44. The Sun Devils are now awaiting their CIF seeding and will participate in the team finals on May 19 at a location to be determined.
The senior class of 2025 at Apple Valley High School has had an incredible four years. Brady, Carson, Kaden, and Maddy have achieved an impressive overall record of 46 wins and 11 losses, along with a remarkable league record of 38 wins, one draw, and one loss. They secured three Mojave River League golf titles and came close to winning a fourth. Additionally, they finished as runners-up and placed sixth in the CIF championships. They broke a 27-year-old team scoring record on four separate occasions while setting numerous individual records.
Beyond their athletic achievements, these students have demonstrated exceptional character. They have worked hard on the golf course and put even more effort into the classroom. They accomplished so much through their talent, dedication, and work ethic. Win or lose, they did it with grace and dignity.
They are not just exceptional athletes but also role models for their peers. Their kindness, respect, and work ethic set a high standard for their teammates. Working with them has been a pleasure, and their absence next year will be deeply felt.

Ridgecrest, CA - The Sun Devils golf team secured the 2025 MRL team championship by defeating Burroughs High School with a score of 183-221 at the China Lake Golf Course. This victory marks their third title in the last four years and twentieth in school history. The team also made history by breaking the scoring record for the third time this year. Brady Fonville led the team with an impressive one-under-par score of 35. Brody Earnest and Carson Hamilton followed closely, each shooting a score of 36. Kaden Akins scored 37, Maddy Irvin posted 39, and Trisha Patel finished with 43.

Canyon Lakes, CA - Congratulations to the Apple Valley Golf Club, which took first place at the Xiong/Hambright Invitational at Canyon Lakes Golf & Country Club. The Devils played a steady round to best the 16-team tournament. Brady Fonville led the Sun Devils with a 67 (-4), earning tournament medalist honors. Brody Earnest finished second with 70. Temecula, CA - The Apple Valley High School JV golf team competed in their first season match. The Sun Devils were led by Colt May, who shot a team-best 47 at Temecula Valley Golf Club. Blake Yon and Landen Conway both finished with 53. The team is back in action Thursday at Rubidioux.

Pahrump, NV - The Apple Valley High School Golf Club competed in the Pahrump Valley Invitational. The Sun Devils posted a two-day total of 305-312 (617), placing them in fourth place out of twenty teams. Brady Fonville paced the Devils. Fonville shot a two-day total 72/75 (147), putting him in second place overall in the individual standings. Brody Earnest, 73/77 (150, finished eighth overall. The Devils open their pre-season schedule at MLK on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at General Old Golf Course in Riverside, CA.
The VVC golf team opened the 2025 season at the two-day, 36-hole Pt. Conception Open at La Purisma Golf Club in Lompoc on Sunday and Monday. The Rams totaled a team score of 883/444, 8439 to claim eleventh place of the 13 competing teams, with Cory Rose posting a 77/75, 152 to finish second place overall, one shot behind medalist Chase Foster (78/73, 151) from Canyons. The former Apple Valley High School golf standout and Cal Baptist transfer lead a talented group of VVC golfers looking to build the program under new Head Coach Derrick Williams.

Apple Valley, CA - The dynamic duo of Brady Fonville and Brody Earnest advanced to the CIF Individual Championship & Qualifying Tournament. Fonville finished tied for first place with Foothill's Will Tanaka at 6 under par (66), but lost in a card-off. Earnest finished 2 strokes back at 68.
Apple Valley, CA - Brady Fonville played almost flawlessly for two consecutive rounds to win his second MRL Individual Championship. Fonville shot 68-66 to post a two-day total of 134. In total, Fonville carded nine birdies and one bogey. His 5 under par is the second-best 18-hole score in school history. Brody Earnest was runner-up, posting a two-day total of 138. Earnest birdied 7 holes on day two of the event. Earnest earned his second straight All-MRL honors along with Carson Hamilton, who earned his first All-MRL award. Hamilton finished with 158. Junior, Maddy Irvin came in ninth place at 166 and Sherman Cline took tenth place with 168. Kaden Akins earned thirteenth place with 171.

The win was meaningful for the Sun Devils as they completed a sweep of Xavier Prep and La Quinta High School, two of the best schools in the low desert. The Devils shot a season-low team score of 193, while Yucaipa finished with 215. Once again it was Brady Fonville and Brody Earnest leading all players with 36 and 37. Helendale, CA - Nate Carlson of ACE fired an amazing 11 under par 61 to lead the Eagles past Apple Valley High School. Jacob Hutchinson shot a one under par 71 and Bryce Johnson added a one over par 73. The Sun Devils were led by Brody Earnest (73) and Brady Fonville (74). The Devils are back in action on Monday, March 11, 2024, at the Temescal Canyon Invitational.
Apple Valley, CA - The Apple Valley Boy's golf team earned their first victory of the 2024 season. The Sun Devils defeated MLK 195-198 at Apple Valley Golf Course.
The Devils relied on home course advantage and a team effort to defeat the Big 8 Conference champions. Junior captain and match medalist Brady Fonville shot a 35. Sophomore Brody Earnest was second at 37.
The one-two punch of Fonville-Earnest was backed by a strong performance from their teammates. Kaden Akins fired a 40, his lowest round of the season. Senior co-captain Sherman Cline shot 41, while Carson Hamilton and Maddy Irvin each shot 42.

Team handicaps are based on previous finishes in CIF-SS team championships over the past 2 years of competition. The Devils have finished second and sixth in the past two CIF-SS team championships.

Irvin finished 4 strokes behind medalist Amy Seo from Crescents Valley High School. Over 90 girls competed in the competition with 12 moving on to the next round to be played at Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon.

Camarillo, CA - Apple Valley High School finished its season with a respectable sixth-place finish at the Division 3 CIF-SS team championship. The Sun Devils shot a team score of 385, finishing 10 strokes behind Agoura High School. Brady Fonville led the scoring for the Sun Devils with a 74 at the difficult Sterling Hills Golf Club. Seniors, Dylan Kemple and Cory Rose each shot 76. Freshman Brody Earnest fired a 77 and Madison Irvin rounded out the scoring with an 82.
