Altar Valley Middle School All-Star Employee of the Month 

Rica Arzaga-Benedicto, 6th & 7th Grade Language Arts

We are delighted to recognize Rica Arzaga-Benedicto as our Staff of the Month! Rica's positive attitude and dedication shine through in her work, as she continually strives to provide her students with the tools they need to excel in ELA. She’s often seen with a welcoming smile, ready to face challenges with optimism and persistence.

Rica has gracefully navigated classroom challenges, implementing feedback from her coach and principal to create an even better learning environment for her students. As a member of the Leadership/Guiding Coalition team, she plays a key role as our timekeeper, ensuring meetings run smoothly and that agendas stay on track. For the second year, she has also led the Sunshine Committee, making sure every special occasion is celebrated.

Her students speak highly of her, saying, "She is nice to everyone and always tries to help students" and "I enjoy learning in her class."
