Happy Thanksgiving
Altar Valley Families,
I hope this message finds you well as we transition into the cooler weather of fall. With the chill in the air each morning, it’s a reminder that the holidays are just around the corner, bringing with them the spirit of gratitude. Happy start of the Holiday Season!
Thanksgiving—my favorite holiday of the year—is a wonderful time to slow down and spend time with family and friends. It’s a chance to enjoy a few days off from school and work, share great food, reflect on what we’re thankful for, watch the Detroit Lions win, and in my family’s case, celebrate my birthday—a favorite tradition!😀
One classic Thanksgiving symbol, besides the hand-traced turkey, is the cornucopia—a “horn of plenty” symbolizing abundance and gratitude. I encourage you to talk with your children about the people and things you’re thankful for, and maybe even create your own hand-traced turkey listing 3–4 things you each appreciate.
On behalf of the entire Altar Valley family, I wish you a joyful Thanksgiving and hope your cornucopia overflows with blessings and abundance.
Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving!
Build, Grow, Flourish, Succeed at AVSD!
Dr. Dave Dumon
