Dear Altar Valley Families,
As the weather starts to cool down from the hot summer days, we note a chill in the air as we get ready for school each morning. This means fall is finally on the way and fall means that the holidays are here! Happy start of the holiday season!
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It’s a wonderful day to spend with family and friends, eating favorite foods, taking time to catch up with one another, watching football, and counting our blessings. Maybe my Detroit Lions will win this year!
As I reflect on the year, I want to give thanks to all of the students, families, and staff that are part of the AVSD community. I invite you to take a few moments to talk with your children about the people for which you are thankful and encourage your child to do the same. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our community partners that do some much for Altar Valley year-round.
