Move and Groove Playtime: Learning Through Movement!
Our littlest learners had a blast at the latest Move and Groove Playtime—a fun, interactive class designed for children ages 2–5 and their parents! Each session is filled with music, dancing, and playful movement to help kids build coordination, balance, and creativity, all while spending quality time with their grown-ups.
Mrs. Maggie kicked things off with an exciting “anaconda” balance beam and colorful stepping stones. The kids practiced moving forward, backward, and sideways—boosting their confidence and strengthening their balance.
Next up: bucket drumming! Children had fun learning about opposites like stop/go, fast/slow, and quiet/loud, all while improving their listening skills and rhythm through playful beats.
Then came a fan-favorite—parachute play with bunny inflatables! This cooperative game helped children learn counting, simple math, and the importance of teamwork and helping friends.
We wrapped things up with a thrilling roller coaster activity that had the kids cheering each other on while working on balance, turn-taking, and building confidence. One mom said it best: “This is the most fun I’ve had in a long time!”
Don’t miss our next class on Friday, May 23rd at 2:00 PM!
Perfect timing for families to join in after school pickup—everyone is welcome to stay and play!
