Celebrating Growth and Committing to Excellence:
AVSD's 2023-24 State Letter Grade – ‘B’
Altar Valley Families,
The Arizona Department of Education recently released the 2023-24 A-F School Letter Grades for public schools statewide. These reports offer insights into student achievement, college and career readiness, and student growth. The data used to determine these grades comes from last school year’s AASA and AzSCI assessment results for students in grades 3-8.
It is with great pride that I share that the Altar Valley School District earned a ‘B’ letter grade on the state’s A-F letter grading system. This recognition highlights that AVSD is on a path to success, with strong performance on state assessments and significant growth. As I shared last month, Altar Valley Middle School maintained its ‘B’ rating for the third consecutive year, while Robles Elementary earned a ‘C’.
While we are pleased with our district and AVMS’s ‘B’ ratings, we know there is still work to be done to reach our ultimate goals. We see many positive trends in the data, but it is clear that we must continue to focus on ensuring all students reach their full potential. Our commitment to continuous improvement remains unwavering as we strive to Build, Grow, Flourish, and Succeed at AVSD!
I am incredibly proud of our hard-working students and educators, who have dedicated themselves to achieving these results. Moving forward, our focus is on accelerated learning across both of our schools. The teachers and staff at Altar Valley are driven and ready to provide the resources and support necessary for our students to truly thrive.
Build, Grow, Flourish, Succeed at AVSD!
