Studio Art classes typically include painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, glass, or fiber projects. This year, we offered the following Studio Arts classes: Fine Arts, Advanced Fine Arts.
The National Endowment for the Arts defines Media Arts as “all genres and forms that use electronic media, film and technology (analog and digital/old and new) as an artistic medium or a medium". This typically includes digital illustrations, computer graphics, animations, film, and photography projects. This year, we offered the following Media Arts classes: Computer Graphics 1, Computer Graphics 2, Film History, and Videography.
Portfolio is a year long course offered each year to students who are interested in pursuing an Arts career after High School and or have taken several of the Arts courses offered here at Avonworth. Each student completes the course with a large body work diverse works, an artist statement, and artist website.
