MACRAME BRACELETS

1. Choose which color cord you want to be the base color and which color cord you want to be the macrame design color.

2. For the base color cord, cut two 20" (50cm) pieces to be the two sides of the bracelet. (Remember, if you don't have a ruler, you can use something like an 8.5x11" sheet of paper or an online ruler to estimate lengths!)

3. For the design color cord, cut two 30" (75cm) pieces and one 10" (25cm) piece to be the two designs and the sliding closure.

4. Choose the charm you'd like for your center: infinity or hammered metal circle charm.

5. Match up the two ends of 20" (50cm) length of cord (you'll have a loop at the other end).

6. Put the cord's loop through one side of the charm and then pull the two loose ends through the cord's loop to secure the cord to the charm.

7. Repeat steps 5-6 to attach a second cord to the other side of the charm.

8. Follow the video instructions to make macrame square knots or spiral knots on each side using the two 30" cords. Double knot all cords tightly at each end when finished. (Trim the design cords right under the knot if they're shorter.)

9. Line up ends of bracelet base cords next to each other, laying in opposite directions. Use the 10" design cord to make 3-5 macrame square knots on top of the side-by-side base cords as the sliding enclosure. Double knot the sliding enclosure cords (simple regular knot) at end when finished.

10. Tie a double knot at each bracelet end so they do not pull through the enclosure.

11. Voila! You have a macrame bracelet to wear or gift.
