Current Unit of Study: 7.1 Lesson 4: Forces and Energy

This week, students are learning about energy transfers and energy transformations through a pendulum investigation as well as watching a video of a hammer hitting a steel bar until it gets hot enough to light a piece of paper on fire. Observing an energy transformation that they can see will help them to understand the energy transformation between the magnets and the copper coil in the generator system.
