AP Overview
Advanced Placement Courses are available for students who desire an advanced curriculum. AP examinations are administered nationally each spring to interested students. Students pay a fee to take an AP test. They may earn college credit based on the score. Avondale High School offers nineteen (19) Advanced Placement courses.

All students enrolled in AP courses MUST enroll in the appropriate AP Classroom on the College Board's My AP site: myap.collegeboard.org
Use the Join Code provided by your teacher to join the correct sections of your course. Join Code Guide
*Joining the AP Classroom is NOT the same as ordering the exam. You will need to indicate if you are taking the exam, use the Exam Order Form, and turn it into Mrs. Chavez.*
Exam-Only students (not enrolled in a AHS course): You will receive a join code via Email from Mrs. Chavez.

Taking an AP Exam and receiving a certain score can earn you college credit. This means you would be able to SKIP certain required college classes and SAVE A LOT OF MONEY (~$2,500 or more a class).
