Makey Makey: An Invention Kit for Everyone is an invention kit designed to connect everyday objects to computer keys. Using a circuit board, alligator clips, and a USB cable, the toy uses closed loop electrical signals to send the computer either a keyboard stroke or mouse click signal.

Making the 1st Key

  1. Plug Board into Chromebook/laptop.

  2. Close any popups that might appear.

  3. Remove rubber covers over alligator clips (these ground the current)

  4. Connect one alligator clip to "Earth" and hold the other end or attach it to another conductor.

  5. Connect everyday objects to the board using the other alligator clips.

  6. Touch Objects to complete the circuit.

  7. Go to makeymakey.com/apps to try some of the different apps like soccor, banana piano, and more!
