Achieve Internship Program

Sparking curiosity, developing skills, gaining hands-on job experience, and applying concepts from the classrooms.

The AHS Achieve Internship Program, launched in 2014, directly aligns with the school district’s mission: “to inspire in each student a joy and passion for learning and a commitment to excellence, personal integrity, and social responsibility.” The unique program offers rising juniors and seniors access to career related experiences and opportunities outside the classroom in professional settings. Internships allow students the opportunity to spark curiosity, develop skills, and gain insight towards potential career fields and pathways. Interns are matched with local businesses during the academic year, or summer months. The course consists of 60 (unpaid) hours and accompanying assignments, such as defining learning objectives, maintaining reflective journals, and creating a poster for the school community.
