School Basics

The regular school hours are from 7:50 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. 

Students should not arrive before 7:40 a.m. as there is no supervision.

Half Day Dismissal: 11:30 a.m.

Early Release Dismissal: 1:20 p.m.

• Attendance: if your student is going to be absent, please email the Nurse directly at mmnurse@avoca37.org or call the office and ask to speak with the nurse. If we do not have any information about the student's attendance/tardy in advance, the nurse will contact parents/guardians. 

• Daily Schedules can be found here. We have Maroon and Gold days along with alternative schedules throughout the year.

• Visitor Procedures: for the safety of our students and staff and per district policy, all visitors are required to present a state-issued photo ID upon arrival. Your ID will be held in the office during your visit. You may pick it up when signing out at the end of your visit.

• Signing students in/out of school: all students must be signed out by a parent/guardian on the iPad in the front office. Students may not walk out of the building without an adult present with them. Students can return without an adult signing them back in.

• Physical Education Uniforms: Students are required to have a PE uniform, which can be purchased exclusively at the Wilmette Bike Shop.

  • In addition, we recommend each student bring their own stick of deodorant, an extra t-shirt, shorts, and socks which can be used as "subs" on days when your child forgets to bring their PE uniform to school.
