Lunch Accounts

The lunchline is cashless. Please add money to your student's Mealtime account so they can buy lunch on the first day. The price of a lunch this 26-27 school year is $5.90. This includes an entrée, side, fruit, vegetable and a milk or 8oz water. We will also have several a la carte items for sale at both schools.
You can find monthly menus and nutritional and allergen information for the menu items online at fdmealplanner.com. Please enter either ‘Avoca West’ or ‘Marie Murphy’ when accessing. You will receive an email from the Mealtime system when your current account balance falls below $15. Payment can be made online at mymealtime.com, or by sending a check to the Avoca School District Business Office. If you prefer to write a check, please make it payable to Avoca School District 37 and include your child’s name in the memo section. Checks can be dropped off at the front office of either school and are typically added to your Mealtime account within a week. Please see these instructions on how to use the Mealtime program.

Your child’s Mealtime ID will be the same as their Student ID in PowerSchool. When you login into PowerSchool, it will be located under Grade and Attendance. That ID in PowerSchool will be the same number you use to register your child's Mealtime account online. Your student’s ID Number is <<student_number>>.

Free Lunch Families that would like to apply for the free lunch program should complete the 2026-2027 Free & Reduced Lunch application and return it to the Business Office. Families that are directly certified by the State of Illinois that they are on the SNAP assistance program are automatically enrolled in the free lunch program. If you have already been notified that you are directly certified or your free lunch application has already been approved, please do not fill out an additional application.

Please note: If your child is on our free or reduced lunch program, that only covers free lunch only, and not any a la carte items (cookies, chips, ice cream, etc.). Your child should select the full meal: entree, a side, and milk or water. You will need to deposit money to the Mealtime account if you would like your children to purchase other items, as they are not a part of the free lunch program.

Lost & Found

Items left in the lost and found will be donated twice a year. Once at the beginning of Winter Break and once at the end of the year.
Please email Ms. Park or Mrs. Broad-Crawford in the front office if you are looking for something specific that was left behind and your student has not found it after checking designated lost & found areas.

Bus Routes

If you have questions about bus routes or fees, please contact Sadie Weiss directly at weisss@avoca37.org. You can view your child’s transportation details in Powerschool. Transportation information is only available in the website version of the Parent Portal viewable on any web browser. Click on the bus at the bottom left corner of the navigation bar. If you are asked for a district code, our code is JHQZ.
If you are new to Avoca and have not yet set up your Avoca PowerSchool account, please check your email for instructions sent from the registration@avoca37.org account. If you are having trouble accessing your account, please email registration@avoca37.org. Don't forget to include your student's name as that is how we look up your account.

Instructional, Bus, or Extracurricular Fees

You can either pay online through our webstore, or send/drop off a check addressed to Avoca School District 37. Our fee information and prices are linked here for your reference.
If you need financial assistance, please fill out the fee waiver application form linked here, and email them to Sadie Weiss at weisss@avoca37.org. If you have questions regarding any of these fees, please email Sadie.

PowerSchool

We use PowerSchool to communicate transportation information, and at Marie Murphy, information about your student’s grades and assignments.

For parents setting up an Avoca PowerSchool account for the very first time, please watch this video tutorial, and then complete the process. Don’t forget to make note of your child’s Access ID and Access Password, which are:

Please know that each parent can set up his/her own PowerSchool account for your children, or you can share one parent account simply by using the same login credentials. It’s up to you.

Be advised that the initial setup process should be done from a computer or tablet, rather than a smartphone. While it is possible to use a smartphone, we find that the highest rate of error happens when parents attempt to set up PowerSchool from a smartphone.

If you are enrolling multiple children for the first time, you will receive a separate email for each newly enrolled child. You will want to copy the Access ID and Access Password for each child before starting the PowerSchool setup. If you’re ready to start setting up your PowerSchool account, here is the parent portal.
