Who needs to apply?
New Students / Transfer Students - if you have never taken a course at AVC. Please note, if you apply to AVC for a term and do not enroll for courses for that term, you MUST apply again as a new student for the next term.
Returning Students – if you have registered and attended a course at AVC, but have been absent two or more terms (Fall and Spring).
When do I apply?
AVC has deadlines for students to apply and receive a Priority Enrollment Appointment. Students who apply after the deadline must wait until Open Enrollment to register. Registration Dates are found on the Admissions and Records: Registration Dates webpage.
How do I apply for Special Admissions?
Special Admit - middle / high school Students – students who will be enrolled in a middle / high school AND college during the same term may complete the online application but will need to obtain additional admissions forms found on the Admissions and Records webpage or see your high school counselor. A hold will be placed on your record until all admission forms have been reviewed and approved by AVC.
Students under the age of 14 will also need to meet with the Dean of Enrollment Services.
International Students – citizens of another country visiting or planning to visit the United States to study on an F-1 Student Visa -- DO NOT apply using this online application. Contact Antelope Valley College for special application instructions and forms. Please call (661) 722-6342 with questions.
