Correspondence Course for Inmates
As it has been studied and reported throughout the years, there is an increasing number of people being incarcerated on drug offenses across the globe. This increase is disproportionate and extreme in North America. Many of these individuals suffer from SUD, Substance Use Disorder. Due to the addiction, their actions land them in the penal system, which does not always address the real issue: self. These actions are often emotional responses to previous experiences not addressed or treated and continue to pile on more destructive and harmful behavior.
Authentic Reflections Self Help Correspondence Program (ARSHCP) is created with the struggling addict in mind, focusing on self-perception, self-reflection and recovery for individuals who are currently incarcerated, preparing for release or released on probation, parole or under no supervision. The course work is designed to assess and encourage an informed perception of the inner struggles, therefore allowing self-reflection and how their incarceration has impacted their lives and the lives of those around them. Using self-help approach to identify destructive behaviors, trauma triggers, recovery and relapse prevention, this program is intended to reduce recidivism by providing tools to create a healthy lifestyle in recovery, social engagement, and productivity as he/she reenters back into their community.
Once the Correspondence Program is requested, we will provide the materials directly to you or your loved one. Upon completion, now a member of ARSHCP will receive a Certificate of Completion. A member will have the opportunity to continue with Recovery Coaching with Authentic Reflections as long as they may need as a part of the program’s Post Follow-up service.
