Attire/ Outfitting Yourself

As we have all come to know year after year Ohio winters can be brutal cold. Last year we had mornings as cold as 10 degrees so coming prepared for our Saturday outings is a must!!!!! Lets start with the basic required/recommended attire. All items required unless noted.

Inner-wear

1. Long underwear- not required but highly recommended.

2. Socks- Warm winter socks. Wool or acrylic SOCKS are better than cotton athletic socks--again, because cotton soaks up water and holds it close to your skin.

3. Hoodie- or sweatshirt is recommended, better to have the layers and not need them then to be caught without.

4. Long sleeve shirt or t-shirt

5. Sweatpants or Jeans of some kind to wear under your snow pants.

Outerwear

1. A good insulated and waterproofed winter coat.

2. A thick pair of snow gloves, thinner is not your friend.

3. Winter stocking hat

4. Helmet - (Highly recommended but not required) also this is not covered by your equipment rental you will need to purchase on your own or rent one each outing from BMBW at cost ($10.00).

5. Water proof Snow Pants!!!!!!!! REQUIRED!!! Either waist or bib style

6. Goggles- not required but highly recommended

7. Clava- Not required but highly recommended for face protection on the coldest of days.
