The celebration is organized by the National Association for Music Education and is called Music In Our Schools Month. It highlights the importance of music education for students and encourages schools and communities to celebrate their music programs.
The goal is to raise awareness about why music education matters and to showcase student learning in school music programs. Here is what is happening in Mrs. Wohleb's music classes:

The Paint to Music art show delves into the connection between music and visual art, specifically highlighting how classical music enhances creative expression in artistic endeavors.
WHAT
Students are invited to create artwork either at home or in the classroom while listening to Scheherazade by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
Students are learning about this piece in Mrs. Wohleb's music classes while creating art in Mrs. Deeb's class.
The ACO will curate and showcase the submitted artworks in a digital exhibition during the concert on May 13 while the orchestra plays the piece. This slide show will be published on ACO’s Facebook page, YouTube channel, and shared via email with the participating schools. Students and their families are invited to the concert on May 13 at 4 pm.
This contest is for select 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students qualifying to make Cowan's Music Memory Team. More info to come.
