This year, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will be learning about...
Roy Hargrove - A Moment in Time
Roy Hargrove’s Hargrove’s unique playing covers a multitude of musical styles from jazz standards at jam sessions, classic bebop, Big Band Jazz Ensembles, and Latin Jazz.
In the 2025-26, AJW Season 32 will introduce students to three jazz terms – improvisation, jam sessions, and Latin jazz – through demonstrations of Latin jazz rhythms and the playing style of Roy Hargrove.
Another jazz term students will learn in Mrs. Wohleb's class is syncopation, as it applies to rhythm.
