Your class schedule and how to understand it
▶The school year is divided into two semesters: Fall and Spring

Fall semester = August - December
Spring semester = January - May
▶All students have 8 class periods.

▶Students have 4 class periods per day, on a rotating A/B day schedule.
▶Year-long (YR) classes occur over the Fall and Spring semesters
▶Semester-long (SM) classes occur either in the Fall or Spring
GT students must take Advanced or Accelerated classes in the area(s) in which they have been identified in order to maintain GT designation and receive GT services. Students with IEPs will be placed in the appropriate class.

6th grade must take 1 year of Fine Arts
6th grade must take 1 year of PE/Dance/Pre-Athletics
7th and 8th grade must take 1 semester of PE or Athletics (can opt to take Athletics a full year) or 1 year of Dance
