Meet the Director

J Flores grew up in San Benito, TX and moved to San Marcos to attend Texas State University. He received his Bachelor's of Music in Music Education and began teaching band at New Braunfels High School. It was here in New Braunfels he developed a love of acting performing in Seussical the Musical (Grinch, Wickersham 1), Mary Poppins (George Banks), Clue (Wadsworth), and 9 to 5 (Joe) at the Circle Arts Theatre. Since then, he has also performed at the ZACH Theatre, the Long Center, and the Ground Floor Theatre here in Austin, TX. He has also taught at various theatre camps hosted by the ZACH. Mr. Flores is ecstatic to be helping build the General Marshall MS Theatre program this year with the help of his students. When he is not teaching or performing, he loves spending time with his cat and playing video games.
