**Offered for 6th, 7th, & 8th grade**

Student learn the basics of theatre including but not limited to acting, stage directions, pantomime, improvisation, and theatre history. All students will participate in the production of a short play at the end of the year.

This is the first course in the Ram Drama program at General Marshall Middle School. All students must start with this course.

**Offered for 7th & 8th grade**

Student learn advanced theatre techniques building upon the skills they learned in Theatre I. There will be a focus on building technical theatre skills. All students will participate in the production of a short play in the Fall semester.

Students must have completed Theatre I in order to take this class.

**Offered for 7th & 8th grade** / AUDITION-BASED

Students must audition to be considered for this class. This class is for the Varsity Theatre troupe, the Rising Stars, and will compete in UIL One Act Play in the fall. The Rising Stars is limited to 20 students due to UIL competition standards. Students in this class will be involved in all theatre productions with an equal focus on acting and technical theatre.

Students must have completed Theatre I and audition for entry into this class.
